Marriage and Family Therapist, One Life Counseling Center
Jennifer Bautista has been working with One Life Counseling Center over the last three years. She is a marriage and family therapist who recently graduated from the University of San Francisco. She completed her undergraduate at San Jose State University and graduated with a bachelor’s in psychology and minor in child and adolescent development. Bautista is an immigrant who came from Guatemala at the age of 6 for a better life. Bautista has devoted her time to helping the underserved community feel heard and seen.
Apart from being a therapist, she has led The Newcomer and Trauma program at One Life for three years. This program serves immigrant students and their families who are adapting to a whole new world and who have experienced trauma. Recently, she has been named as program director for our Una Vida, a branch under One Life that will specifically serve the latinx community. As an immigrant, woman and person of color, Bautista knows the stigma that mental health has on people and will fight everyday to break that stigma and educate families. She is excited to share more!
